The paths of religion and science are converging. The gap between what we can feel and what we can measure is narrowing by the decade [the year? the moment?] ...True religion and true science are destined only to reinforce each other. After all, truth is truth, whether we can quantify it with technological instruments or simply experience it through the most amazing and mysterious instrument we know of ...the human body.
SCIENCE. Higher truth discovered through the intellect, deductive reason.
The domain of the mind. Reigning in this Age of Information.
Reality, if you think about it for half a second, in mind-blowing. And solving its mysteries is mind-numbing. Multi-verses; String Theory; Relativity; Parallel Universes; Quantum Physics. From the vast to the miniscule, it all seems to circle back to an incomprehensible oblivion. The Unknowable. The great mystery. Sounds alot like the "G" word, doesn't it?
WHAT YOU KNOW IS WHAT YOU ARE. I am not sure what is more exciting, the theories we have about the nature of the universe, or the technologies we have created to explore them. Even the technology we take for granted is ridiculously unfathomable for the average person. So this little crystal thingy lets me talk to someone on the other side of the planet? And this other little thingy lets me capture sequential moments in space and time and play them back forever?
We can thank alot of really smart people for all of that. Not many of us could make a cell phone or videos on our own. But we could learn, if we want to. Learning is the foundation of science. And great science takes that step further into discovery. It works from the outside in. Science allows us to change the world, and ourselves, through input from external realities and experiences. Through our rational understanding. Great scientists, like great artists, are innovators. They innovate as they discover, as they illuminate the mysteries of creation itself.
